Ragnar Glamp Koknese sits on the high bank of the Pērse river — a place of pine air, river sound, and quiet design that respects the forest around it.
Koknese holds a particular kind of quiet — forest silence, river sound, air that carries pine and clean water. Ragnar Glamp has built into this landscape with care: every window frames the right view, every material was chosen for its relationship to the place. It is a space where the forest is not outside, looking in. It is present in everything.
Ragnar Glamp Koknese offers two types of design cabin — House Forest and House Lux — each one handcrafted and individually fitted, often with vintage pieces or objects made specifically for the Ragnar Glamp collection.
House Forest is an open-plan studio for two adults — generous and full of light, with large windows opening the forest into the room. House Lux adds a separate sleeping area with a pull-out chair-bed for a third guest, along with a heated bathroom floor that brings something genuinely spa-like to the morning routine.
Both cabins are fitted with Jøtul wood-burning stoves, air heating and cooling for all seasons, and a private terrace where the morning coffee and the evening wine both find their place.
Considered design: Each cabin is unique — hand-selected furniture, particular details, no two alike. Beautiful in an honest way.
Full comfort: Jøtul stove, climate control, a private bathroom, and access to a mini spa. House Lux adds a heated shower floor.
The forest and the river: Wide windows and a terrace bring both into the room — a considered harmony between inside and outside.
Pets welcome: Four-legged guests are received well here.
Nearby: The Divas Upes restaurant, hotel and spa sit close by — a useful and considered complement.
Wilderio tip: Walk the trails along the Pērse river in the late afternoon and return for an evening by the outdoor fire — that particular sequence is worth building a stay around.
Step away from the pace of things and let Koknese's particular calm settle over you. Here, every detail has been considered — not to impress, but to ease. The forest smell comes in through the glass doors. The river is audible from the terrace. Breathe it in.
